Slow aging with a vegan diet

A new study from Stanford University suggests that a short-term vegan diet can slow biological aging, benefiting the heart, liver, and hormonal and inflammatory systems

Researchers analyzed DNA methylation rates in 21 pairs of identical twins, with one twin on a vegan diet and the other consuming meat and dairy. After eight weeks, the vegan group showed decreased biological aging estimates and lost an average of two kilograms more than their omnivorous counterparts.

While the study highlights potential benefits, it notes the small sample size and the need for further research on long-term effects and nutrient supplementation.
