Camera sees through anything and around corners

Researchers at Northwestern Engineering developed a new high-resolution camera that can see around corners and through human skin or bones.

The technology intercepts the scattered light coming from an object and then reconstructs it to reveal the original object.

This same technique can be applied to see around a corner and create an image of an organ inside the human body. It comes with a level of resolution so high that it could even capture the tiniest capillaries at work.

At present, this technology could be used in applications ranging from noninvasive medical imaging, early-warning navigation systems for vehicles, to industrial inspection in tightly confined spaces.

But in the future, a camera like this could be used to improve our own vision, making it truly Superman-like.

How would you like to see through objects and around corners? How would you use such abilities? Please let us know in the comments below.
