A bicycle commuter invented an attachment that turns any bicycle into an e-bike in seconds.
The small seven-pound device called Clip attaches to the bike’s front wheel and around the forks.
Its small controller is secured to the handlebars and has enough power to add 15 miles per hour of speed to pedaling, enough to propel the biker uphill with no problem. The 450-watt motor is powered by batteries that can be recharged in a wall socket, providing about 10-15 miles of range.
What’s great about this device is that it’s small enough to fit into a backpack. It’s also cheaper than buying an e-bike or getting a similar conversion kit. Finally, this is an excellent solution if you want to bike your way to work but don’t want to arrive at the office pouring with sweat.
