Called the Babylon Micro-Farm, the system relies on technology. It is connected through the Cloud and is remotely monitored. An app allows users to choose plants and supplies in the Babylon Box and access growing data in real-time. After the harvest, users simply replace the plants with a new pre-seeded pod to begin a new cycle.
With the automated system, less water is needed to grow the plants. There will also be zero emission from transporting plants since the system will be in the same building where it’s eaten. Finally, there will be no need for pesticides and other chemicals that pollute traditional farms and the surrounding environment.
