Scientists created vegan meat made from air.
The process is similar to how yogurt, cheese, and wine are made through fermentation. First, air elements are combined with cultures to produce protein. Then, the protein is processed into a flour-like substance, which is used to create different meat textures and flavors. It doesn’t contain animals, soy, hormones, pesticides, or GMOs.
The idea of air meat development started during the 1970s in search of protein solutions for astronauts on long flights. The researchers used the technique and perfected it to create Air Protein.
What’s great about this vegan meat is that it is produced faster than other meat substitutes. It is also sustainable and more environment-friendly. Finally, it’s a possible solution for food insecurity and an alternative for those looking to lower or eliminate meat consumption.
