Lab-grown diamonds are gaining popularity among newlyweds seeking a sustainable and affordable alternative to mined gems.
Some jewelers report a surge of over 2,000 percent in interest within the last five years due to lab-grown diamonds’ lower cost and identical physical and chemical properties.
A recent survey found that 70 percent of couples would consider choosing a lab-grown option, with value for money and sustainability being the primary reasons for the switch. Surprisingly, 69 percent of respondents admitted they could not distinguish between lab-grown and natural diamonds.
The growing demand for lab-grown diamonds is driven by their lower environmental impact and affordability, attracting couples who prioritize value and sustainability for their engagement rings. As people become more aware of lab-grown diamonds, the demand is expected to increase further.
