First-ever 3D-printed neighborhood

First-ever 3D-printed neighborhood soon to rise in Austin, Texas.

The neighborhood consists of about 100 homes simultaneously built.  They will feature 2-4 bedrooms and solar roofs.

The machines are fully automated and can print 24 hours daily, needing only three workers.   A floor plan is loaded into the Build OS, after which layers of cement are squeezed out like toothpaste to make the walls, leaving holes for the utilities.  The machines can print the entire wall system with electrical, plumbing, and ventilation at around a third of what a typical team of builders would need.  All these contribute to both low costs and timeframe.

More energy efficient than wood, the homes are also far sturdier, with about 4x above the regulatory code for resistance to various elements like wind and water.
